Esophageal surgery

Esophageal surgery refers to procedures performed to treat benign and malignant diseases of the esophagus, such as cancer, strictures, gastroesophageal reflux and hiatal hernias. The procedures can be open or minimally invasive (laparoscopic/thoracoscopic), with the aim of removing the diseased portion and restoring the continuity of the digestive system. These are specialized procedures that require experience and a multidisciplinary approach.

Stomach Surgery

Gastric surgery includes procedures performed to treat stomach cancer, complicated ulcers, benign tumors or obesity (bariatric surgery). Depending on the condition, partial or total gastrectomy may be performed, as well as procedures to restore gastrointestinal continuity. Modern techniques, mainly laparoscopic, offer faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.

Pancreatic surgery

Pancreatic surgery involves complex procedures to treat conditions such as pancreatic cancer, cystic lesions and chronic pancreatitis. One of the most well-known procedures is the pancreatoduodenectomy (Whipple procedure), which requires a high level of expertise. These procedures are performed in specialized centers, with the aim of completely removing the disease and maintaining the best possible quality of life.

Colon Surgery

Colon surgery includes procedures for malignancies, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and benign tumors. Procedures may involve partial colectomy or total removal of the colon, with direct anastomosis or stoma creation where required. The laparoscopic approach is widely used, offering less tissue trauma and a faster return to daily activities.
