Laser PRK

Laser PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) is a refractive procedure used to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

In this method, the surface layer of the cornea (epithelium) is first removed and then an excimer laser is applied, which reshapes the cornea with great precision to correct the refractive error. Unlike FEMTO-LASIK, no flap is created.

The procedure is short and safe, but vision recovery is slower than with LASIK and there may be mild discomfort in the first few days. PRK is a suitable option for people with thin corneas or for those who cannot undergo LASIK.
